“Lanie, can I kiss you?” Her dazzling eyes grew big and round as Lanie instantly directed her gaze towards me. Her face reddened and almost seemed to me that I offended her for asking. But the red turned to pink and remained only on her inviting cheeks. “Okay”, Lanie answered as she smiled sweetly and trained her sights on the base of the flagpole right across the stage. I turned and tenderly kissed Lanie squarely on her right cheek. A flood of emotions came rushing in. I felt warm and dizzy and almost unable to breath. She promptly turned towards me and exclaimed, “Nagawa mo iyon?” I apologized to her profusely, believing that I came on to her too fast. It was then that I noticed her smiling. I accompanied Lanie to the tricycle terminal and before she got in, kissed her again on the cheek.
On my first year in highschool, I got my first kiss. Or was it?
